Mystic Connecticut

We're back! What a BEAUTIFUL place! We ended up having so much fun in Mystic, that we decided to stay there the last night instead of driving to the Berkshires. Although I'm sad we didn't get to experience the Berkshires, I'm glad we spent some quality time in Mystic. It turned out to be the best thing for the girls, since sleeping arrangements with small children in hotels can sometimes be challenging. In Mystic, we had the perfect situation with a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn ... they also provided complimentary breakfast and dinner!

We visited the Aquarium all 3 days and the Seaport once yesterday. We kept going back to the Aquarium because Reagan couldn't get enough of the "hands-on" exhibits. Today, she spent almost an hour petting the rays! The first day, she was obsessed with the little crabs that she got to hold. Luckily, there weren't very many visitors so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The town of Mystic is so picturesque, especially with the brilliant colors of fall. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful and the colors of the trees were stunning.

I took hundreds of pictures ... I don't know how I'll sort through them all! I know I won't have a chance to do so until Saturday evening, after my parents fly back to Salt Lake :( It's been so nice having them here and I know they've had fun playing with their granddaughters.

Check back for pictures, videos and fun stories later ... I'm headed to bed :)

My brother served his mission there, and said it was beautiful.
