Spring time in River Vale!

Reagan's new sandals were hurting her feet, so we took them off in the car ... we carried her over to the grass and she insisted on getting down to walk around. Once her feet hit the cool grass, she quickly ran over to Papa's shoe and stepped on. I was right there to snap this photo that turned out so cute!

After the circus yesterday, we got out of the car and walked around the front yard, checking out all the signs of spring. I love this time of year! I've always loved spring, but moving to New Jersey made me appreciate spring more than ever before. In Utah, the signs of spring were simply the flowers and the warmer weather. I never noticed the leaves coming out on the trees. Here, there are SO many huge trees ~ when the leaves fall off before winter, they are noticably bare. The bare trees are brown and dreary all winter, so when the leaves come out in spring, the whole landscape changes dramatically. New Jersey is SO GREEN in the spring and summer and I just love it! I never realized I grew up in a desert until I moved here.

Last year, I took a picture of John holding Reagan when these pink blossoms came out on the tree in the front yard ... I took a similar picture this year and thought it would be fun to compare the two. It's amazing how much Reagan has grown and changed in just one year!
