Avery's 5 Month Dr. Appointment

Here's another picture of my baby girl getting weighed at the doctor's office. She weighed 15 pounds, 12 ounces which means she gained 1 pound, 8 ounces! I'm not surprised, since she keeps growing out of her clothes and she's comfortably wearing size 6-9 months right now. She measured 25 inches long, which was 3/4 of an inch longer than last month. She's getting so big so fast and I can't believe how quickly these last 5 months have gone! One thing I'm really surprised by is Avery's ability to sit up on her own. She's too young and doesn't quite have the strength to steady herself yet, but she can sit in this position unassisted for a minute or two before falling over. These accomplishments are exciting, but also a little sad, since it's hard to see my baby growing up so quickly. I'm not sure I'm ready for her to start crawling and moving around ... I just love snuggling her and watching her giggle. She's seriously too cute. Dr. Battista told me to start giving her cereal, so I'll have to give that a try one of these days. Once again, the idea of her starting to eat solids is bitter/sweet.
Reagan came with us to the appointment and was so excited to get a sticker ... it was amazing to me how motivated she was to be a good little girl by something as simple as a sticker. The girls at the office let her have 4, which she placed on her shirt immediately.
