We celebrated my birthday this weekend by eating, eating, and then eating some more ... I think I need to go on a 5-day fast just to even out the weekend's calorie intake. Here's how we spent the weekend:
FRIDAY:
John and I (sans kids) went to my favorite Mexican restaurant, Jalapeno's for an early dinner. We ate way too many chips, ordered an appetizer, I got my standard chicken enchiladas, and then I also got the Mexican fried ice cream! This was the second time I had ever had it ~ it's such an unusual combination: a big scoop of ice cream rolled in sesame seeds and corn flakes, sitting in a fried tortilla bowl. I love sesame seeds and would never think to pair them with ice cream, but it makes for a great taste sensation!
SATURDAY:
This beautiful flower arrangement was delivered to our house from my parents.
We took Reagan and Avery to a birthday party at In the Swing, a really fun indoor play place. Damian and I actually share the same birthday (13th), so it was fun to celebrate his 2nd birthday with him.

I thought this was such a novel idea: a cake made out of cupcakes!!! Why didn't I think of that? There were probably 30 cupcakes that made up this one big cake, with LOTS of frosting in between each one to fill in the gaps.
As you can see, Reagan thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake!
We went to Houlihan's for dinner after the party
On Sunday, we went to brunch to celebrate my birthday. We tried a new restaurant that my friend Meredith recommended called The River Club in Nyack, NY. The restaurant was located right on the water (Hudson River), so it was a beautiful view and the food was delicious!

We asked the bus boy to take a picture of our family ... he decided to pick up Reagan's high chair and move it closer to us and for some reason, Reagan was not happy about it! We started laughing and told him to go ahead and take the picture anyway :)
