This morning was the kickoff brunch for the Light the Night (LTN) Walk. Meredith drove Nicole and me to the hotel ballroom in Morristown, NJ (about 45 minutes away). The Light the Night Walk will be on Saturday, September 27th ... I posted pics from last year's walk on my Garage Sale post. The LTN walk is the event that inspired the garage sale fundraiser.
Here are Nicole and Meredith at the brunch ... Nicole lost her father-in-law to Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer) and Meredith lost her mother to AML (the most extreme type of Leukemia). Since I'm currently watching my mother-in-law battle 
two forms of Leukemia (CLL and MDS), the 3 of us have a strong bond when it comes to raising awareness for blood cancers. The LTN staff put together a very nice brunch with wonderful food and inspirational speakers. Thanks to everyone who went to my donation page and made a contribution for the cause. And thank you to everyone who participated in our garage sale.
