Family BBQ at the Heid's

The Heid family invited us and the Caulfield family over for a family BBQ and we had a wonderful time! We tried to beat the heat (it's been VERY humid here!) by playing in the water while we ate appetizers.

The Caulfield Boys

Mia and Nicole in the pool

Meredith applying sunscreen to Timmy

Chris made a special batch of mojitos

Reagan, Mia and Champ

Avery loved splashing around in the water

The sunscreen in Quinn's hair served to be nice styling lotion for a mohawk

We came inside to eat so we could escape the humidity. The kids got into Mia's dress-up clothes and had fun dancing around.

Mia and Avery

The girls insisted on getting John and Kevin involved in the dress-ups! Don't John and Kevin look good with bunny ears?

Kevin was a good sport ... since he only has boys, I think he was loving the attention from the girls!

Dancing to Super Freak!

Here is the video of the kids dancing to Mia's favorite song, Super-Freak! Since it's a long video, I sacrificed quality for length (Sorry!) ... but it's worth watching 'til the end (3:43). Sorry Reagan, Mia and Timmy, but I think Bennett took first prize for the dance contest!

Bennett and Nicole

Bennett is so cute with Avery ... he says her name perfectly (he's only 16 1/2 months old) and loves to give her kisses.

Then he took her for a ride, pushing her around the room

I guess the girls were worn out from dancing, so they lay down to take a rest.

John enjoyed looking through Nicole's photo albums from Spain ... both of their fathers grew up in Spain, so they often visited family there while growing up.

How fun...what great pictures. And I love the video...such cute kids. The picture of the girls resting is darling and your girls look beautiful in the pool (as always).

By the way...your comment about you not being a nice sister...WHAT?!! I know there were times that we didn't get along, but I always looked up to you. I always looked at what you did and tried to figure out how I could do it as good as you! I love you.
