Hair bands

Reagan is 2 1/2, so she is constantly saying the funniest things. Last night, I took her with me to K-Mart to get a few last minute items for our trip. I was looking through the toy aisles, in search of some new toys I could pull out on the plane to ensure happy kids and a happy flight for everyone around us. As you can see by the picture, I had already given her a lolly pop (on top of a baby bottle) to keep her busy so I could shop. As I was looking at toys, I heard her say, "Look, hair bands." I thought it was an odd thing to point out in the toy aisle, so I turned around and saw the large display of hula hoops. I immediately laughed and said those would be pretty big hair bands for someone with lots of hair! She laughed and I couldn't tell if she was trying to be silly of if she really thought they looked like hair bands. I guess she's never seen a hulu hoop before, so she probably doesn't know what you do with one.

One of the other adorable things she's been saying a lot lately is, "isn't it?" Whenever she makes a statement, she follows it up with this question. For example, she often says, "my dress is beautiful, isn't it?" or "it's a beautiful day, isn't it?" The word "beautiful" has been included in just about every sentence lately. I just love that she's become so verbal. I've been waiting such a long time to have full conversations with my daughter and they're finally happening :)

That is hilarious! I love seeing how their little minds put things together. I read your title, Hair bands, and as I started reading I could see the top of the picture of the hula hoops which just looked like a close up picture of a row of hair bands...so I totally understand! :)
