So ... last night, I walked into the kitchen and found Reagan painting the backs of puzzle pieces (see above). We had been painting earlier and I hadn't put the paints away yet, so she had returned to the craft table in the kitchen and started up a new project. She's pretty good at being little Miss Independent, so when she feels like being crafty, she just sits down to the craft table and I often find her here, coloring, drawing, cutting with scissors, etc.
My initial thought was, what on earth is she doing? I was about to get mad at her and tell her we only paint on paper, but then she said to me, "Mommy, I'm making stamps!"
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but don't you think that's pretty smart? It's not like these puzzle pieces were just sitting there next to the paints, so she decided to paint them ... she had to take the puzzle pieces out of the toy room and bring them over to the craft table, so she obviously thought this through.
Maybe it's just us, but John and I thought it was pretty clever and creative for her to think of this all on her own. Thank goodness I have a blog, so I can brag about my brilliant daughter!

Today, I found her doing it again ... too cute!

Could she be any cuter. The girls are growing up so fast. I am so happy to hear that John is healthy and nothing is seriously wrong or that surgery wasn't needed. I love keeping in touch via blog and you always have great posts. Love you guys tons and hope to see you sooner then later. Miss ya

Wow, that is pretty brilliant. I hate to think that I would have stopped my child from doing something like that because I wouldn't want the puzzle to be dirty! It is great that you just embraced her discovery. Good mom. BTW - she looks absolutely darling in the hat...little diva girl.
