Mia's 3rd Birthday

Yesterday was Mia's 3rd Birthday Party! Nicole and Chris threw a family party, and then invited just a handful of the friends with whom Mia plays to help her celebrate. It was a "tea party" theme, so Nicole's mother created the piece of art in the picture above and sent it to them from Florida. Nicole made finger sandwiches of every kind and also served fresh fruit and tarts. It was perfect!
The first thing they did was play with Mia's dress-up clothes

Reagan refused to take off the skirt and the headband with the veil on it for the entire length of the party. I guess I need to get her some dress-up clothes for her birthday in November!

Next, the kids played with the tea sets while everyone ate the yummy food. Nicole made a peanut butter and honey sandwich just for Reagan.

Next, we went downstairs where Nicole performed a puppet show. After the puppet show, the kids had fun taking turns going into the puppet theater that Nicole borrowed from her neighbor.

Reagan loved putting the puppets on her hands

Then it was time to dance! I love the above action shot!
Before the cake came out, everyone got a tiara or a crown

Personally, I liked the tiara better than the headband she wore for the first half of the party!

Even though it was kind of a 'girly' theme, Timmy and the other boys (Mia's brother Bennett and her cousin Alex) were such good sports.

The Heid Family ~ Chris, Bennett, Mia and Nicole

Cake time! Starting with Reagan on the left, going counter-clockwise around the table: Alex and Juliana (Mia's cousins), Bennett, Cassie, Mia and Ella.

Marion and Audrey ~ Marion is the one who helped us with the garage sale back in June and Audrey is Chris's mother (Mia's grandma). Marion and Audrey live near each other in Waldwick, so Marion is like family to the Heid family. If you didn't see her cameo in the music video, check it out now on YouTube!

Reagan was fixated on the balloons the entire party ... she was so excited when Nicole finally gave her 2 balloons to take home!

What great ideas...looks like a fun party. That gave me a great gift idea for Reagan's birthday!
