Reagan woke up this morning and happened to see her Jessie costume in my bedroom (I had just washed the Halloween costumes and I was in the process of putting them away). She asked if she could wear it and my response was, "Why not?" She then told me she wanted to go trick-or-treating! It was a good opportunity to remind her that Halloween (and trick-or-treating) only comes around once a year.
I just love the above picture of Reagan ... so sweet.
I asked her to look at me and smile, but she started squinting, due to the red light that shines on her face when I hold the button half-way down. I said, "Open your eyes" ... I guess she wasn't paying very close attention, since she started opening her mouth instead! When I took the above pictures of Reagan this morning, Avery had just gone down for her morning nap. Later in the afternoon, John had to go take care of some things and I was home with the girls and John's mom. At one point, I had to help Nila get out of bed (she's been experiencing a great deal of pain for the last few days and she's needed a lot of extra help), so I needed Reagan and Avery to stay put for a few minutes. I closed the doors to the playroom and instructed Reagan to STAY there and play with Avery while I helped Abuela. When I returned to the toyroom, I was so pleased to find this:
Reagan had taken out the pretend food and they were having a little picnic. Avery just watched her big sister intently and Reagan was being so sweet with her! It made my heart melt to actually see them "playing" together. It was also a nice look into the future, since I'm sure this will happen a lot more as Avery gets a little older.
