As I've said so many times, I love Reagan's preschool program and her teacher Ms. Lisa. Reagan is always doing creative, fun crafts and I'm often amazed at the things she learns each day. A couple weeks ago, Ms. Lisa did a lesson on Planting Seeds and each child got to plant seeds in 2 different pots. They planted sunflower seeds and green beans. I noticed the pots (with only dirt visible and a small sign on a popsicle stick) sitting on the kitchen counter when I got home. I'm pretty sure I left them inside last year and needless to say, they didn't do too well. This year, I took them right outside to the table on the back porch and pretty much forgot about them. When I went outside tonight, I noticed they had sprouted and I was so excited to show Reagan!
I took these pictures because I felt like a kid myself ... I thought it was so cool that the shell of the seed was now at the top of the plant.
The shell of this bean seed is the white that you see on the dirt ... I guess she planted 3 seeds in this pot.
Just before bedtime, I took Reagan outside (wearing her favorite Dora nightgown) to see her blooming plants. She was so excited to see the 'fruits of her labor' and I loved talking about it with her.
